This elegant white house on the Reykjavík shoreline hosted the meeting that helped end the Cold War.
In October 1986, Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev met here for the Reykjavík Summit. The house was built in 1909 as a French consulate. It's said to be haunted — the British ambassador sold it because of a ghost. Its small tower gives it a distinctive silhouette against the sea.
