This slender steel observation tower in a Milan park was designed by Gio Ponti and built in just two and a half months for a major exhibition.
Originally called Torre Littoria, it was built for the 1933 Triennale exhibition in Parco Sempione. At 108m it offers panoramic views of Milan and the Alps. The elevator ride to the top takes just 90 seconds. Renamed Torre Branca in 2002 after the Branca family who restored it.
