Dracula's Castle Tower
Dracula's Castle Tower
Transylvania, Bram Stoker
1897
BUILT

A crumbling tower in the Carpathian mountains where a centuries-old count entertains guests who never quite manage to leave.

Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' (1897) describes the castle as a vast ruin with towers overlooking a precipice. Stoker never visited Transylvania. He based his geography on library research and traveler accounts.
