Once an Almohad minaret, this tower was converted into a cathedral bell tower,and you climb it via ramps, not stairs.

The 35 ramps were designed wide enough for horsemen to ride to the top. The bronze weathervane figure at its peak, called "El Giraldillo," gives the tower its name.
