Once home to the highest restaurant in Africa, this concrete telecommunications tower has watched over Johannesburg's evolving skyline for more than fifty years.

Originally called the JG Strijdom Tower, it was renamed after the neighborhood it stands in. The revolving restaurant at the top closed in the 1980s and has never reopened.
